Riace Bronzes
The story is what made me paint those brother statues. Those were sculpted in Greece in the 6th century BC, and found in the sand deep in the sea, on the coast of south Italy, by a chemist in the 1970's.They are an example of amazing craftsmanship and, to me, a symbol of how precious human creations make their way to other humans through time and time.
